Hungry Minds Media (Hmm)
Vote Yes! For Kids
Vote Yes! For Kids is a political action movie created by Jordan Soltman and Makena Johnson. They were approached to create an informative piece of work in a video format to put across the message to vote yes for a school levy. They already had gathered footage for a "Why We Love Our School" film contest and it was easy for them to switch over and continue working on the levy film.
In the last year they have switched names form Pompous Productions to HungryMindMedia (Hmm) which seems to be sticking. Their official website is now at www.hungrymindmedia.com. The most recent project they have taken on is filming the VHS football games and broadcasting them onto VoV. This is using the equipment given from the grant. They say that this year our greatest project is filming the Vashon Pirate Sports and airing them on VoV (cable 21).
